Analogue cameras refers to the technology which has been around for years, a single coaxial cable is routed from each camera to a controls location where previously there would have been a video cassette recorder, most of these systems will have had black and white cameras.

We don’t come across many systems like this now as the cameras have been upgraded to colour and old time lapse VCR’s have been replaced with Digital Video Recorders. This is possible as all the cabling is still compatible. For upgrades and smaller systems this is still the most cost effective solution and is far from being made obsolete.
