For new installations our chosen brand is Paxton, their range, after sales service and technical advice is second to none. Paxton not only manufacturer high quality products from basic to advanced but they have a range of styles and sizes to suit the application. For the Net2 system there are eight different styles of proximity device. The PC application allows users to administrate access rights throughout the property across multiple sites and has separate time logging functions and statistical reporting for example payroll.
Together with our branch Specialised Video Installation we recently wrote a program to integrate a large format LCD display with built in embedded PC to communicate with the Paxton system to show a list of all those in the building, this display is mounted in the foyer and allows staff to see at a glance whether specific staff are in the building and to see if the site is clear at locking up time, the site this is installed at has many rooms, workshops and laboratories so this function saves a lot of time and of course false alarms!
